About Me
jennifer
in both my academic and personal life, i'm interested in cultural hybridity and cultural transition/shift/messiness. academically, this interest manifests itself in my passion for studying language mixing and language change (as well as, of course, anything else that demonstrates cultural melangé). personally, it means i like things that defy being easily categorized like italian-middle eastern restaurants, shops or flea markets that sell odd collections of things, and traveling to places with two or more distinct major populations.
